STORIES FROM HOME: People Who Care

June 5-21, 2015
Celebrate Harrisburg and its people who care. On stage at Open Stage June 5-21. The original production incorporates drama, storytelling, video, music, movement, and audience discussion to tell the stories of our city. This fourth and final annual theatrical celebration will play at 8pm on June 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, and at 2pm on June 14 and 21.

The 2015 STORIES FROM HOME: People Who Care is inspired by the history of Homeland Center, located in Olde Uptown, and its pioneering efforts in philanthropy and social services in the city. Set in Harrisburg shortly after the Civil War, the play depicts the local movement to create a "Home For the Friendless" to house and sustain the widows and orphans left in the wake of the American Civil War.
